HMO Additional Licensing consultation

We are consulting on the proposed Additional Licensing Scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). The existing Scheme applies to Rhyl only and we are looking to extend this to include Prestatyn, Llangollen and Denbigh.

Denbigh:

What do we want to know?: 

We would welcome your feedback on the following consultation areas:

  • The geographical area Covered by Additional Licensing.
  • The type of HMO to be covered by Additional Licensing.
  • Justification and evidence for re-designating Additional Licencing.
  • The Conditions to be imposed as part of Additional Licensing.
  • Fees to be applied to Additional Licensing.

How are we doing it?: 

Should the Scheme be approved, notification will be made in local newspapers and on the Denbighshire County Council Website.  There is a minimum 3 month period before the Scheme commences.  

Location:  Rhyl, Prestatyn, Denbigh, Dee Valley

What we found out: 

The Council received two responses in regards to this consultation. Following consideration of these responses, a decision has been made to proceed with the scheme. The Public Notice can be downloaded HERE.
