Rhyl Conservation Area

Why are we doing this?

Denbighshire County Council is holding a consultation on proposed changes to the Rhyl Conservation Area boundaries.

A Conservation Area is an area ‘of special architectural or historic interest’ which means that there is an extra layer of planning control to help preserve and enhance areas of historic interest so that they can be enjoyed by this and future generations.

The Council has a statutory duty to review conservation area boundaries from time to time and a copy of this review can be found on our website www.denbighshire.gov.uk. The review recommends some changes to the Conservation area boundary to ensure that the quality of the area is maintained.

The consultation period runs from 3rd September 2018 until 5pm on 2nd November 2018. As part of the consultation, we are holding a public exhibition in Unit 4 of the White Rose Centre on between 9am & 5pm on both the 7th & 8th of September that you are invited to attend.  Information will be available on the proposed changes and officers will be available to answer any questions you might have.
