Corwen public realm improvements

Why are we doing this?

As part of a successful Levelling Up Funding bid, we are proposing to carry out a number of improvements to Corwen High Street and the Green Lane car park.

Proposed works to the High Street include:

  • Update/paint and clean up the street furniture in the High street i.e. metal signposts and railings
  • Update all surface water drainage
  • Installation of safety bollards, litter bins and pedestrian guardrail
  • Refurbishment of benches
  • Clean and re point existing paving slabs
  • Lay a small additional area of paving to match existing Yorkstone
  • Have a designated area within the High Street for a Christmas tree to be erected each year

Proposed works to Green Lane car park include:

  • Installation of 5 x electric vehicle charging points
  • Refurbishment of the toilet block.
  • New bus layby and associated road markings
  • Installation of signage to direct visitors to the car park to the town centre and the railway
